Our Farm Stand Roots

At Antonellis Farm / Ciesluk Farm Stand, farming is more than a business — it’s a family tradition rooted in generations of hard work and a deep respect for the land. Our ties to Deerfield run deep, with knowledge and values passed down season after season.

What began as a small family farm and a simple roadside stand with a yellow umbrella has grown alongside the community into the farm stand you see today. While we’ve adapted over time, we’ve stayed true to what matters most: the belief that good food and strong relationships go hand in hand.

The farm stand was created as a way to share what we grow directly with our neighbors.  We've become a place where familiar faces stop by, kids pick out their favorite treats, and neighbors catch up. We take pride in being a small part of your daily life, your family traditions, and your table.

Each generation has added its own chapter to the farm’s story, but the heart of it has never changed: caring for the soil, growing food with intention, and keeping local agriculture alive.

Today, Ciesluk Farm Stand remains proudly family-run — a gathering place as much as a farm store. We’re grateful to be part of your traditions, your meals, and this community, and we’re committed to stewarding this land so it can continue to feed Deerfield for generations to come.

Meet Your Farmers

Farmer Mike, holding two ears of corn in a field.

Mike Antonellis

Mike grew up on the farm, working alongside his grandfather Frank from a very young age. By the time he was eight years old, picking corn had already become his summer job, and he quickly developed the work ethic and practical knowledge that come from growing up in the fields.

Mike attended Franklin County Technical School and later studied agricultural business management at SUNY Cobleskill, graduating in 2008. After returning home, he took on a larger role in the farm’s operations as his grandfather began to step back. During this time, Mike also started his own hay business, Antonellis Ag, expanding the farm’s agricultural work beyond produce.

In 2016, Mike stepped into a leadership role at the farm, and by 2018 he took full ownership, establishing what is now known as Antonellis Farm. Under his leadership, the farm has continued to grow while staying committed to preserving farmland and supporting the local agricultural community.

Jen Antonellis

Jen grew up around the farm and began working at the farm stand when she was young, helping customers and learning the business from the ground up. Today she operates the farm stand, working alongside her brother Mike to grow and sell fresh produce while continuing the legacy of the family farm and serving the  community.

Before returning to farming full-time, Jen spent 15 years working in medical billing at ServiceNet. Eventually, the pull of the farm and working outdoors led her to leave the office behind and come back to the fields and the farm stand.

Today, Jen helps manage the day-to-day operations of the farm and stand, from planting and harvesting to connecting with customers. She is passionate about keeping the farm welcoming to the community and ensuring fresh, locally grown food remains accessible to families in the region.
